Klaus Willy Joachim Gloger was born in Germany and resides in Australia since 1966. For the last 25 years he have been involved with design. First, in vacuum forming for the packaging industry, then design in the furniture Industry.

Since 1992, he have followed his inventive instinct and registered his first patent for the compact disc case. Being a hands on person, he participated in the development of his invention, learning about toolmaking, injection molding and assembly lines. During this time he applied for, and was granted two more patents related to the CD case. His CD case have won nine awards, uncluding:

- IF-Product Design Award 1999 (Hanover)
- German Packaging Design Award 1999 for exemplary Design (Berlin)
- World Star for Packaging 1999 (Toronto)
- Product of the Year 2000 (Frankfurt/Main)
- Product Design Award 2000/2001 (from Federal Minister for Industry and Technology)
